The first wave of original art is now up on the Future Husband shop! Three of my full color gouache paintings from Vol. 2 are available for purchase in the shop, including the one above, along with two of my ink drawings from Vol. 1.

Future Husband has officially switched over to a new shop format that should minimize our annoyances and make it so much easier for YOU to buy our zines and other works. Right now both volumes are up for sale individually along with a special 2 for 1 pack, and we’ll be adding original art throughout the week.
So check it out already!
TweetI promise I’m working on big new things and not just disappearing. The downside to a bunch of new TOP SECRET projects is not having much to show in the blog-zone for a bit yet. But stay tuned! Plans for the last half of August/the first half of September include new Future Husband works, a new installation collaboration with C. M. Ruiz for Monster Island, a special limited edition zine collab, and maybe even a little screen printing/apparel design.
NO SLEEP TIL BROOKLYN.

“YOUR FUTURE HUSBAND will be a ribbon counter jumper. His falsetto voice and effeminate ways will captive you although you will not want to be. Although his nose may be pushed over on one side of his face from measuring ribbon, that won’t make any difference. He won’t be able to see enough of you, so he will wear glasses. He is a ‘goody-goody’ boy who won’t say ‘damn,’ so your seven little babies are bound to be good.”

Yesterday I spent a really long time drawing my friend Michael with a quill pen because he has tattoos and a beard and those things are complicated.
Soon to be featured in FUTURE HUSBAND VOL. 3: WE EAT MEAT.

This week has been absurdly busy, but I’m happy to announce the official release of FUTURE HUSBAND Vol. 2 - ROMCOM VOMCOM! Piyu will be selling copies at Zine Fest Houston today, and I’ll have copies available for all you eager New Yorkers asap. And if neither city’s convenient, you can order copies off our website here.

The Husband and I are (somewhat) diligently prepping for Zine Fest Houston! Even though I’ll be here in Brooklyn, Piyu will be holding down the “pretty girls who make art” fort with a BRAND NEW ZINE as well as copies of volume 1 and other artistic delights.
And if you can’t make it, you can (and should) still totally buy volume 1 on our site (volume 2 will be released online to coincide with the fest). Or, if you’re broke, you can at least follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
